Gorgeous Day

So many pics from yesterday and today! Love the weekend when the weather is this amazing. My first outfit features a dress from American Apparel and thrifted accessories.   Alaric's first shirt is from American Rag Vintage store in SF. Beatrix's adorable dress we found yesterday at my fave vintage shop in Sacramento, Crimson & Clover. I  also got my red dress there. Alaric found his at Bows & Arrows (although the pants are from C&C.)

Yesterday and today

I feel bad I don't have any pics of Bea as I know most of you are avid fans. Don't worry she has more adorable outfits coming up.  The only thing not thrifted or secondhand are the Gordon Rush shoes on Alaric's first look and my shoes and the scarf which was a gift in my second look. Bea had fun today at the playground. She is such a good climber and talker! She helped me make cupcakes today too. Of course she ate the frosting first.

Totally Obsessed

I feel like I have been neglecting my lil blog. It is not that I haven't been posting regularly but I have not been very active in the blogging community. My reason? I'm addicted to chictopia. It is a sort of fashion networking community where you get points for free stuff. We have a lot of pictures for the blog too as a result. Today I wore some staple items, (boots and skirt),  my leopard green tights which I adore, and thrifted top.  Alaric wore his vintage jeans, Kenneth Cole shirt, bcbg tie, thrifted blazer, and shoes from Cuffs vintage.  His tie and shirt were not thrifted  and Bea's hoodie was a gift.

We got the Loot

Bea and I are modeling some of the fabulous stuff we bought yesterday whilst thrift shopping. She specifically requested to wear her new sweater. I am loving my new heart belt and turquoise skirt. This is the longest skirt I own! Alaric is wearing American Apparel Jeans and a thrifted tee. The last two photos are from our birdwatching expedition. Beatrix picked that outfit out too!

Wolves!

Here are some pics from yesterday which we spent relaxing for the most part. Usually I wear this dress while going out but I felt festive despite not wanting to do anything. Having a day off is important. The dress is an authentic 1960's uniform from Bows & Arrows.  Alaric's shirt is from Crimson & Clover. Today we ventured out of the house and found some amazing stuff while going thrifting this morning. In the afternoon we visited a bird sanctuary and had so much fun birdwatching.

Pink Chucks of Goodwill

Beatrix had so much fun today. She tried chow mein for the first time and I think she liked it. A lot! We went thrifting at a Goodwill Superstore with my sister. I am also going thrift shopping this weekend. I am very lucky. The store was huge but I was amazed how expensive some of the stuff was. All tees were $5. You can get them at Target for that much if you want. I did find this blouse which I really liked though. Beatrix really wanted the pink chucks even though I told her the black ones were more versatile. I am way too practical sometimes.

The rest of yesterday

Here are some photos that should have gone with yesterday's post. We were having some technical issues. I just got those Ann Taylor brogues at Crimson & Clover a couple of days ago. I've been looking for shoes like that for ages!

Bring back Bolo Ties

It is true that couples influence each other's styles. As I've said before 1970's polyester shirts are one of Alaric's trademarks. It was only a matter of time before I would find out that I loved them too.  Bolo tie purchased from Thunderhorse, a lovely little vintage shop in midtown.  School is amazing so far, although I'm a little sleep deprived. Can't wait until the weekend as we have a thrifting expedition planned. More pics soon.

Give the People What They Want

The toddler post...back by popular demand. Gingham dress by  baby Ur it (secondhand of course). Yes, this whimsical dress is made by a company that doesn't know to spell. Such is life. Bea was even dancing during the photo shoot. She really is that happy, mostly.

Rainy day and Shorts

This morning it rained so we took Beatrix to an indoor playground. She had so much fun she didn't didn't want to leave! I got inspired to do my take on the tights and shorts from some other fabulous bloggers:  Pretty Little Pictures and hot chocolate and mint.  My shorts are from Crimson & Clover who also has a lovely blog: flaming hag folkwear. I've had that blouse forever from Nordstrom before I decided to only shop ethical and the boots are a thrifted gift from my sister-in-law. I pretty much live in them. I found Alaric's shirt while thrifting.  He loves 1970's polyester.  I'm starting school tomorrow and am very excited.

Hair Inspiration

Cute Alert

Follow my blog with bloglovin

Apparently these leggings are controversial on other blogs only because the are made by American Apparel. I'm bummed they aren't selling them anymore as they are adorable. Cute and made by people who get paid decent wages. I'm in.

Out on the Town

Dress probably from the 1980's and shoes are Kenneth Cole. This was our big date night so we did it up.

Alaric's outfit is totally vintage 1970's except for the blazer which is thrifted and the shoes are Gordon Rush. Unfortunately he got hit by a bike when he was wearing these pants and they have a small rip on the leg, however they are still rad.

She picked it herself

Thinking of making this a weekly feature. Outfit completely secondhand from various thrift stores and give away bags.

Only in Hawaii

Silly yet wonderful vintage sundress found on the front lawn of someone stylish. Ground score.
